Sr. Pastor-Leon Edenfield
Leon is a native of Putnam County. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2000, after serving 21 years, and Civil Service in 2018 after 17 years. He is a Bi-Vocational Pastor; and Owner of L.E. Land Clearing LLC.
In 2001, Leon and his wife Janice surrendered to ministry. He was ordained as a Deacon by the First Baptist Church of Middleburg. He later was ordained into the Gospel Ministry by the Clay Christian Fellowship Church in Orange Park, where he assisted in starting this new Southern Baptist Church.
Leon first came to St. Johns Baptist Church in August 2011, as an Interim Pastor during a time of vacancy. He later accepted the church's call for him to become Pastor in December 2011. In 2016, he launched St. Johns Christian School, and serves as the CEO.
Leon graduated from Liberty University with a B.S. in Religion, the Community college of the Air Force with an A.S. in Personnel, and the Southern Baptist Convention's New Church Start Up Program.
Associate Pastor-Billy Carter
Billy and his wife Amy began ministry together in 2002 on the worship team at Celebration Fellowship Church. Billy plays the guitar and drums, and Amy plays the keyboard. Billy was ordained on December 9th, 2018 and serves over various ministries; Associate Pastor/Student Pastor, Bus Ministry, and Music Ministry.
Billy also works at St. Johns Christian School and Amy is the schools Financial Aide and Scholarship Advisor. Billy is a native of Clay County, and graduated from Liberty University with a AA in Religion, and a B.S. in Christian Ministries with a minor in Christian Counseling/Youth. He is also currently working on an MDiv through Liberty.
Billy and Amy have 4 children. Zach, Kelsey, Wesley, and Lily.
